Our stories are unique, our families are beautifully constructed, and our farewells should reflect that without compromise. Sadly, navigating the end of life within the LGBTQ+ community can often come with anxieties about whether a loved one's true identity, pronouns, chosen family, or relationships will be fully respected and understood.
As a queer celebrant, my promise to you is a space of absolute safety, affirmation, and fierce protection. I understand the nuances of our community - the profound importance of chosen family, the deep significance of living authentically, and the vital need to ensure a person's legacy is told exactly as they lived it. You will never have to explain or defend your identity or your relationships to me. Together, we will craft a ceremony that honors their truth, celebrates their impact, and surrounds you in a community of genuine warmth and understanding.
How We Will Work Together
Working with me is all about creating a ceremony that feels effortless, personal, and full of joy. Whether you’re going for something simple or pulling out all the stops, the process is designed to feel relaxed, collaborative and completely bespoke.
A Gentle Conversation
We will sit down together (over tea or a video call) to talk about your person. You can share as much or as little as you feel up to. I’ll guide you with gentle questions to uncover the essence of who they were.
Crafting the Service
I will write a bespoke service from scratch, capturing their story, their values, and their personality. You will have total peace of mind, with the opportunity to review and edit everything before the day.
Holding the ceremony
On the day, I will take care of every detail at the podium. I’ll lead the service with composure and empathy, ensuring your loved one is honoured beautifully while giving you and your family the space to feel supported and present.
